A Round Up of Recent Family Photography Posts :: Massachusetts Photographer
At Crabapple Photography we LOVE family photography sessions. Which is why we feature them so often on this blog! There are so many different types of family portrait sessions. Big families, small families, siblings only. There are sessions where the family photo portion is only part of it. Family photoshoots where we’re celebrating a milestone, and some that are a yearly occurrence. Whether it’s an in-studio session, or outside, we love them all. Keep Scrolling to see the family photography sessions that have been seen as posts on this blog recently.
When I think family photo sessions in New England, I instantly think of fall. Every year the fall is my busiest time of year, and many of those sessions are outdoor family portraits. The cooler weather, the gorgeous foliage, and how close it is to the holidays and therefore holiday cards, are all pros to family photos during the fall.
Spring and Summer Outdoor Family Photos
While fall might be a traditionally very popular time of year for outdoor family photo sessions, it’s not the only one. Spring and summer have been increasing in popularity for outdoor pictures over the last few years. In the spring, it’s about fresh blooms and taking advantage of the first nice warm days of the year. And in summer, the beach is the perfect place for family pictures.
In Studio Portrait Photography
There are obviously beautiful things about outdoor family photo sessions. But there is also something so great about in-studio sessions. For one thing, we have total control over the temperature and lighting. This can be especially helpful when there are babies involved. It also gets rid of a ton of stress when it comes to unpredictable New England weather. Plus we can customize the set design to any color, props, themes, or style you prefer.
