Extended Family Photos :: Medford MA Photographer
Family portrait photoshoots are always fun. Add in some extended family and the fun just multiplies. That was definitely the case for this family photo session. I had previously photographed 9 year old twin sisters L & G back when they were four. That session was so cute and so fun. I was so excited to see them (and their parents) again. This time, dad’s family was all in one place for the first time in years. They decided to celebrate with some family portraits!
Fun fact: this session was actually the FIRST session I photographed in my current studio! Prior to this I had a studio in a converted garage at my home in Medford. My family and I made the move to Andover, and the current studio became the new home of Crabapple Photography. This session was such a great way to break in the new space!
Including Extra Family Members
Since this was an occasion to celebrate, I wanted to make sure that I got as many photos as possible for this extended family. There were a bunch of different combinations of family members that they were hoping to photograph together. I think it’s safe to say that we nailed it. We took photos of the grandparents together. Photos of grandparents with their two granddaughters. Aunt and nieces, uncle and nieces. Some of the family of four. Dad and his siblings. Some of all the ladies. Every imaginable combination was featured! Family portraits are so important, and getting to include grandparents, aunts, and uncles is so special. I’m so glad this family was able to have this extended family photos session, and I’m so grateful they chose me to capture these memories!
