I have been photographing this little lady since she was just one–and in this session she is six years old! Every year I meet up with them for some child and family photos. And every single year Miss B is sweet and adorable. This outdoor child portraits session was on a beautiful fall day. Miss B was full of energy and absolutely rocked every photo. She had an outfit change partway through and looked equally cute in both. I made sure to get plenty of updated family photos. Especially since this year they had a new arrival–their puppy, Dumpling!

Getting the chance to catch up with this family, and especially to see how much Miss B has grown, is so special to me. I also think that it’s so awesome of this family to make updating their family portraits a priority. I know that as Miss B grows up she’ll be thankful for these keepsakes. And I can guarantee her parents are grateful for them now.

The greatest thing about getting family and child portraits outdoors during the fall for photos? How much fun we can have! Throwing leaves, jumping, dancing, taking a walk. All of these things aren’t nearly as fun when they’re inside the studio. Which is one of the reasons why outdoor fall photos are so popular. The gorgeous New England fall foliage doesn’t hurt either!
