Favorite Things Photo Inspiration for Siblings :: Andover MA Photographer
I first photographed these three siblings when little brother was 8 months old, and the sisters were 3 and 5. At this session, the girls were 6 and 8 and little brother was 4! I loved getting the chance to see them all as such big kids. We started off the session with some really great sibling shots. Including what is perhaps my favorite one of the group hug. Then we transitioned into some Christmas photos. The kiddos changed into Christmas pajamas and I even did some digital backdrop magic to have them standing in front of the Polar Express. But perhaps my favorite idea that their mama came up with came last. The inspiration for these sibling photos was “My Favorite Things”. And here is my official plea for more families to use this idea!

Favorite Thing Child Portraits
Since anyone with numerous children can tell you that each child is totally different, it makes sense that kiddos would be into different things. Mom wanted to celebrate those favorite things by incorporating them into this sibling photo session. She did this by having each of the girls bring along their American Girl doll dressed and accessorized with their favorite thing. For oldest sister, it was figure skating. For middle sister, it was dance. And then for little brother, well he loves trains so it only made sense to have him play with trains! Once I took the individual portraits of each girl with her favorite thing, I took Mr. L’s photos. Then each girl hopped in the back for sibling photos including their hobbies and favorite things.
I think this is such a fun idea. I love the idea of updating these photos over the years to include the changes (or how things stay the same!)
