Andover Maternity Photographer :: Pregnancy Portraits
As a mom, I know how special pregnancy is. And as a photographer I know how stunning pregnant mamas and maternity portraits are. Which is why being an Andover-area maternity photographer is something that I love. Even before becoming a mom myself, I loved taking maternity portraits. But I will say that experiencing pregnancy first hand has given me an appreciation for maternity photos that I don’t think I had before.
Over the years I have photographed countless moms-to-be. Some have been first time moms. Some have been adding new members to the family. I have taken maternity portraits in my studio and outside. Sessions have been focused solely on mama, have included dad, and have included older siblings. I have photographed full sessions, and mini sessions. And the one thing they all have in common: pregnancy is beautiful (even if it doesn’t always feel that way) and should be celebrated!

Indoor Maternity Photo Ideas
The great thing about my studio is that it is fully stocked. I have an assortment of maternity gowns and tutus (many from Sew Trendy Accessories). I also have props and accessories that clients are welcome to use during their session. There is also the ability to control temperature, lighting, and every other aspect of the session. This is especially helpful for clients who are looking to get a little risqué during their session. The pregnant body is gorgeous, so I am a huge fan of baring it all during these photos!

I adore silhouette photos like this one! This was maternity session number two for this Peabody couple. And their session had an extra special surprise. Check it out here: Peabody Maternity Photos.

This is such a great idea. Also, it’s a beautiful way to tie maternity photos and newborn portraits together!
Outdoor Maternity Pictures
While I love getting to photograph expecting mothers in my studio, there is something to be said for outdoor maternity photos, too. And if you’re debating which works best for you, many couples choose to have both indoor AND outdoor photos taken. Plus, I am more than happy to chat ahead of time and figure out which dresses, gowns, and accessories you will love most and bring them along for the session.
These sessions are some of my favorites (although I love ALL my moms-to-be!) Whether it’s during the blooming spring, the sunny summer, surrounded by beautiful fall foliage, or even in the snowy winter. There is no bad time to take outdoor maternity pictures! Keep scrolling to see some gorgeous examples of outdoor maternity pictures from every season.
I love me some golden hour photos!
Worried that you can’t have outdoor maternity photos in the winter? This session is here to show you that snowy backdrops are stunning.
Flowers in bloom during the spring is perfect symbolism for pregnancy portraits, don’t you think?
