Maternity Pictures for Baby #2 :: Boston MA
I love maternity portraits. And I have an extra special love for maternity photos that include an older sibling. And when that older sibling is one that I photographed back when he was in mama’s belly? Amazing! This mom, dad, and big bro came to my studio from Boston for mom’s maternity pictures when she was pregnant with baby number two. I had previously photographed this family, and especially big brother O, a lot in the past. They had come in for her maternity photos, Mr. O’s newborn, 3 month milestone, 6 month milestone, 9 month milestone AND his one year photos! Getting to capture all of those fun, special milestones for Mr. O was such a great experience. It also meant I got to meet this fun, amazing family. And getting to help them celebrate their newest arrival was so special for me.

I always love when older siblings are involved in Boston area maternity photos. I think it is such a fun way to celebrate a new arrival. Plus, how adorable are all of these photos with Mr. O in them? I can’t decide which one is my favorite. Mr. O standing with the flying tail of the pink dress is so great. But that one of mama in the white maternity gown looking down at him while he hugs her legs? Tugs on my heart. As a mom, I know that these photos will be so special for mom S to have for years to come. And as a younger sister, I know they will be special for her baby girl to have one day, too.
When it comes to styling pregnancy portraits like these Boston maternity pictures, there are so many options. There’s the casual look or the more glamorous look. And of course there’s the option of simply showing off that beautiful belly. More often than not during maternity photos we are able to accomplish all of the above. The pink, red, and white gowns that mom S is wearing in these portraits are just a few of the large collection of maternity gowns I have in my studio. I have just about every color imaginable, as well as a large collection of maternity tutus.
