Mr. S’s Newborn Photos :: Cambridge MA Photographer
This little dude came to the studio from nearby Cambridge for his newborn photos. He brought along big brother, Mr. C, and his parents. Before any session I send parents a questionnaire to fill out. This is to make sure we are all on the same page when it comes to the session. It includes everything from styling to who will be present during the session. Styling includes color schemes, props, and poses. This can help me plan ahead for the session in terms of colored swaddles and wraps, and also which props to get ready. It’s also a great way for parents to start thinking about what they want out of this session. For this mama, she had an idea of what she wanted in terms of solo shots of Mr. S, photos of the brothers together, and family portraits. The solo shots and the brother shots were the priorities, I love knowing ahead of time what a client’s priorities are!
Another priority for this family was this photo below. Mom is in the Navy (so cool!). And while she didn’t want the session to take on a Navy or nautical theme, she did want to honor her work. We did this with a photo of Mr. S and her hat. And I for one think it came out perfectly!
