Maternity Photos by a Billerica Maternity Photographer
This sweet couple came to my studio from nearby Billerica for their pregnancy photos. As a Billerica-area maternity photographer, I love getting to meet couples like this one and help them celebrate their new addition. As a mom myself, I know how much joy, excitement, and wonder there is during this time. I also know that pregnancy can be stressful. Which is why I always do my best to make moms (and dads!) feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible during these pregnancy portrait sessions.
I have been photographing expecting mothers since 2009. And over the years I have learned a thing or two about these pregnancy photo sessions. And while one thing I have learned is that no two mamas are the same, I have also learned some tricks to make these sessions easy and stress-free for parents. One of the ways that I am able to do this is by sending clients a questionnaire prior to their session. This questionnaire allows me to prepare for each individual session. I ask questions such as who will be present during the session? Dads are, of course, welcome. And so are any older siblings of the new arrival. Having an idea of who will be here ahead of time lets me have a ballpark idea of the scheduling of the Billerica maternity photo session and how much time will be allotted to each set or pose.

Planning For Your Maternity Portrait Session
In the questionnaire that I send, I also ask about styling and desired poses. Some mamas have checked out my blog, social media, or Pinterest and have certain photos in mind. Others are complete newbies to the entire maternity portrait experience. Either way, sending me inspiration pictures or even just basic ideas can help me pull the props or accessories needed ahead of time. And lastly, there is the question of styling. Some mamas want to be full glam during their portraits. And others like to keep it casual. And both styles are perfect for Billerica maternity photos. In my studio I have a large assortment of maternity gowns, tutus, and accessories to customize your session.
