Miss T’s Newborn Baby Girl Photos with Props :: North Andover MA Photographer
Sweet little sleeping baby girls, adorable newborn photo props, big siblings–these are a few of my favorite things! I had first met this family back in late winter of 2020 for their maternity session for baby number one. And when I say late winter, I mean the very end of February. It was an unseasonably warm winter day and we met outside for some maternity photos that are still some of my favorites. And then a few short weeks later, the world shut down.
They welcomed big brother, Mr. G, into the family and I was unable to take traditional newborn photos. Thankfully I was still able to take some photos from afar on their front steps as part of the Front Steps Project. I finally got to meet Mr. G up close when he was 3 months old, and he rocked that 3 month session by actually falling asleep and letting me get some newborn-esque portraits. All of this combined to make this North Andover newborn session for Miss T extra special.
Styling and Accessory Ideas for Newborn Portraits
Since we got to be in the studio while Miss T was a teeny tiny brand new baby, it only made sense to take advantage of my abundance of newborn props for baby girls! The wooden heart bowl has absolutely become one of my favorites over the years. How sweet does Miss T look laying sweetly inside of it? This session has a few of my other favorites as well. The lace inspired little basket is one I have had for quite some time. And honestly, I never get tired of seeing it. I think it’s the perfect blend of classic, vintage, and soft. For those looking for something a little more natural or even boho, then I’ve got you covered. The rattan basket with white lining is a really great option. I love the color of it, and it is the perfect neutral for any color palette.
But of course, as Miss T proves, you don’t NEED props to have stunning newborn photos. It is entirely up to the parent if they want intricate props and accessories. Or they may want to keep it super simple. I have furs, blankets, wraps, and accessories in just about every color imaginable as well.
