Lynnfield Baby Photos :: Boston Globe Baby
When Mr. B’s mama reached out to me about coming to my studio from Lynnfield for Mr. B’s 6 month baby photos, I was thrilled. Because for one thing, I love this age group. But also because mom had such a great idea for a theme to these photos. You can read more about the theme in the next section. But we didn’t just focus on the theme. We also got some portraits of Mr. B in his birthday suit, because baby tushies are beyond adorable.
These photos were a surprise for Mr. B’s dad, so mom also wanted some celebrating his love for a little team called the Boston Red Sox. This was definitely not the first time parents wanted to include their favorite team or sport in their photos. In fact, we have a whole blog post about it. Using a Theme in Baby Portraits
When mom reached out to me, she told me that she wanted these photos as a surprise for her husband. Her husband happens to write for a little publication called the Boston Globe. Maybe you’ve heard of it?! (ha!) She had this vintage typewriter that she brought along with her. And let me tell you, I seriously considered buying one for the studio after this session. How adorable is this as a prop? While I was setting up this first set up, we were chatting about how cute it would be if he held the paper like he was reading it. And then he did just that! Genius baby.

Why I Love Sitter Sessions
During the first year, there are numerous milestones. First tooth, first word, first steps, first birthday. And each of these milestones is exciting and worth celebrating. But there’s another milestone that people don’t always think about. And that is sitting up. Think about it. Your baby is sitting! On their own! Without help! This is huge. And it’s the first “step” towards crawling and walking. This sitter session age is typically between 6-9 months, but it’s less about age and more about that milestone. And these sessions are so much fun. Baby isn’t mobile yet, which means no chasing them around the studio. But there are so many more options in terms of poses and props.
