There are many different milestones that happen in the first year of your baby’s life. Which is why I love getting the chance to celebrate all of those milestones with baby photography sessions! We talk a lot about newborn and one year/cake smash photo sessions. But there is truly never a bad time to get baby photos. The first year of life is full of changes and growth. 3-4 Month Milestone Photos
At 3-4 months, babies are (typically) awake and alert. Sometimes, like Mr. G down below, babies do still fall asleep during their session. There are so many things to love about these sessions. All those sweet little smiles that weren’t possible during newborn sessions. Less mobility than one year photos. And it’s the time when babies are truly starting to grow and develop their own little personalities that positively shine through!

6-8 Month Milestone Baby Photos
This age range is also known as a sitter session. Because the milestone is based on when babies are able to sit on their own! This means much more versatility when it comes to props and accessories. Since your little one is able to sit up on their own, props aren’t a necessity. But they can be a fun addition to the photos and can also help with stability. But regardless of that, these photos are so much fun. Your kiddo can’t get up and run away (a bonus!). But their personality can absolutely shine through!

9-12 Month Milestone Baby Photography
Proving that every chapter is different and special, the 9-12 month age group! Whether you’re looking to celebrate your little one reaching 12 months with some portraits (but maybe not a cake smash). Or you’re taking advantage of the beautiful weather to get some outdoor pictures. There is never a bad time for portraits of your little one. You’ll treasure having these keepsakes as memories of every stage of their first year!
