This little lady’s newborn photos were extra special for me for a few reasons. Number one being that her parents are both friends of mine from high school! I loved getting to see them with their brand new baby girl. And I loved being able to capture these extra special keepsakes for them. Because even if they weren’t my friends, this session would still be special. Because Miss A is a big huge miracle inside of a teeny tiny baby. I am always grateful when parents trust me with these precious moments and memories. And there is definitely something a little extra special about newborn photos when I know the parents went through an IVF journey to have their baby.
Remembering Your IVF Journey by Including Needles in Newborn Photos
The struggle of IVF (in vitro fertilization) can be heart breaking. This fantastic couple had their share of years of setbacks and heartbreak. This is something that I have seen in so many different families who come to see me. Many people share their stories with me and are elated to finally be at the point where they are reaching out to a newborn photographer. A dream that at dark times may have seemed like it was never going to happen.
This Chelmsford family wanted to commemorate in a photo the hard work and science it took for them to get their rainbow baby. There were failed attempts, miscarriages and disappointment. Until one time, it worked. Sometimes there really is a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow!
This miracle baby girl lay sleeping like an angel in a heart shaped bowl. She was surrounded by the actual syringes, trigger shots, glass bottles and pill bottles it took for her to come into this world. It is stunning to visually see some of the steps taken during IVF with the real, live sleeping baby as proof miracles do happen.
