Mr. V’s Newborn Portraits :: Boston MA Newborn Photographer
Mr. V and his family came to my studio from Boston MA for his newborn portraits. Mom and dad brought along Mr. V’s grandmother to help out during the session and to get into a few portraits as well. I am always super happy to have grandparents or older siblings involved in photos. It takes a village to raise a baby and I think that village should be celebrated in newborn portraits.
Prior to any session I send parents a questionnaire with styling and posing questions. Mom had a lot of ideas and mentioned how much she loved the small beds, baskets and crates. I was sure to include different options when setting up my studio for these photos. Both the tiny bowls and the wooden crate that I used for these photos are some of my favorite props for newborn photos. Not only are they adorable now, but they also do such a great job showing how small newborns are. I also included some props that were personal to Mr. V’s parents. Prop Ideas For Your Session
Any golf fans out there?! I love that Mr. V’s mom and dad wanted to include some references to golf in Mr. V’s newborn photos since his father loves golf. Over the years I have included just about every mainstream sport in newborn photos like these ones. And I always think it’s such a great idea. There are so many different ways to personalize your portrait session. Including beloved hobbies and activities is a fantastic way to personalize your photos. Plus how adorable does Mr. V look holding that golf ball? I love photos like this to remind parents how tiny their little ones were once upon a time.
