Recent Sessions from Local Families
Over the years, so many of the families who walk into my Andover studio or meet me for outdoor sessions have come from neighboring North Andover. Some first reach out while expecting their first baby. Others come back every year as their children grow. A few started with newborn photos and are now bringing toddlers, siblings, and even dancers preparing for major performances. This collection of sessions feels especially representative of the families I photograph most often: thoughtful, connected, sentimental parents who want photographs that feel timeless and natural without being overly posed or trendy. Whether that means North Andover newborn, maternity, milestone, or even family photography, I love being the photographer they choose.
From maternity portraits and newborn sessions to milestone photography, family portraits, and dance photography, these sessions highlight the beautiful variety of stories unfolding within the North Andover community.
A Studio Maternity Session with Big Brother
One of the most meaningful parts of maternity photography is documenting not only the anticipation of a new baby, but also the transition happening within the family itself. This studio maternity session included an excited older brother who completely stole the show at times. The darker wood backdrop paired beautifully with soft pink and deep red maternity gowns, creating portraits that felt rich, warm, and classic.
One of my favorite moments from the session was a close portrait of the family gathered around mom’s belly, with everyone’s hands resting gently together while big brother formed a tiny heart shape with his own hands. These quieter details are often the photographs parents treasure most years later.

A Light and Airy Newborn Session for a Baby Girl
In complete contrast to the warmth of the maternity session, this newborn session leaned soft, delicate, and light filled. The studio was filled with creamy whites, subtle blush pink tones, and delicate floral accents that complemented the sweetest baby girl perfectly. Family styling in shades of white and pale blue helped everything feel cohesive without distracting from the connection between them. The overall feeling of the session was calm and timeless.
For many North Andover parents searching for a newborn photographer, this style of session is often exactly what they are drawn to: soft tones, natural posing, and an experience that feels relaxed from start to finish.

Seven Month Milestone Photos with Classic Fall Details
The sitter stage is always one of my favorites to photograph. At around seven months, babies are expressive, curious, and full of personality while still holding onto so much baby softness. This little girl’s 7 month session felt especially timeless with her chunky knit sweater romper and simple neutral styling. We incorporated subtle fall touches throughout the session, including heirloom style pumpkins that added texture and warmth without overwhelming the portraits.
Alongside the solo portraits, we also captured family photographs that documented this season as a whole rather than focusing only on the milestone itself. These are often the sessions parents later tell me changed the most in hindsight because they had not realized how quickly this stage would pass.

A Woodland Inspired Cake Smash for a Little Boy
This first birthday session brought in a completely different atmosphere with woodland inspired details and rich natural textures. Tree stumps, pine cones, and soft earthy elements created a playful but elevated setup for this little boy’s cake smash session. Before introducing the cake, we also captured some incredibly sweet portraits of him holding a teddy bear that fit perfectly within the overall feel of the session.
We finished with family portraits that balanced the more playful birthday setup with timeless images mom and dad could enjoy long after the cake smash stage has passed. First birthday sessions are often a mix of celebration and reflection. For many parents, it is hard to believe how quickly they have gone from newborn photos to one year portraits.

Toddler and Sibling Portraits Full of Personality
Toddler sessions rarely go exactly as planned, and honestly, that is often what makes them memorable. This toddler and sibling session centered around a little boy, but his older sisters joined as well, which turned the session into such a fun mix of sibling interactions, individual portraits, and genuine personality.
Some of my favorite images were not the perfectly posed moments, but the in between expressions and reactions between siblings. The way brothers and sisters naturally interact always tells the story better than overly structured posing ever could. These sessions are a reminder that family photography does not need perfection to feel beautiful.

Golden Fall Family Photos Near North Andover
Fall family sessions in New England always carry a certain kind of warmth, especially when the light and foliage come together perfectly. This outdoor family session featured a family of four surrounded by golden leaves and soft evening light. Their wardrobe palette of navy, white, and mustard yellow photographed beautifully against the fall landscape and gave the entire gallery a timeless seasonal feel.
Rather than focusing heavily on posed portraits, much of the session centered around movement and interaction: walking together, laughing with the kids, and allowing moments to unfold naturally. Those are almost always the photographs families connect with most deeply over time.

Dance Portraits Before the “Not So Nutcracker” Performance
As a fun addition to this roundup, we also photographed individual and group portraits for teen and preteen dancers from Center for the Performing Arts, a North Andover dance studio before their annual “Not So Nutcracker” performance. These holiday dance sessions had such an exciting energy surrounding them. The girls arrived dressed and ready for performance they had worked toward for months, and there was a mix of confidence, nerves, and excitement throughout the portraits.
Alongside the individual dancer portraits, we also captured group images that documented the friendships and teamwork that become such a meaningful part of growing up in dance. It felt like the perfect way to round out a collection of sessions centered around community, milestones, and connection.

Photographing North Andover Families Through Every Stage
One of the things I value most about this work is being invited back repeatedly as families grow and change. Many of the parents featured throughout these sessions first found me while searching for a North Andover maternity photographer or newborn photographer. Years later, I am photographing toddlers, sibling milestones, family portraits, and major childhood moments that once felt far away.
There is something incredibly meaningful about documenting not just one season, but the full story over time. You can see so much more on my Instagram and Pinterest.
