The C Family’s Holiday Portraits :: Family Pictures with a Christmas Twist!
This sweet family from North Andover came to my studio for some family photos with a holiday twist. Little brother was born in 2020 at the height of the Covid pandemic which meant this family had been unable to get professional portraits taken of him during his newborn stage. By the time November rolled around I was back in the studio (fully masked and sanitized!) which meant these family portraits were possible! We started off focusing on the family as a whole before moving on to sibling and solo shots. The portraits weren’t overly festive, but more of a way to capture the family during this chapter of life. Mom told me in the pre-session questionnaire that they had family in different states which meant photos and facetime were the only ways to get to know the kiddos. These portraits would be perfect keepsakes!
Incorporating the Holidays into Your Session
Holiday family photos do require some props and maybe even an outfit change. However, they don’t actually require a specific holiday-only session. I can easily add on some festive portraits into a pre-existing session. In this case it was a family session with some Christmas photos included. Other times I have added some holiday spirit into newborn or cake smash photos as well. And while this is definitely most popular in late fall and early winter, I’ve even snuck in some Christmas spirit during the summer! Once we get into the holiday mini-session season I have the Christmas props easily accessible. Which means all you need to do is let me know during pre-planning. And then I can get a few Christmas sets designed and ready for your pictures!
