Newborn Photos With Older Siblings :: North Andover Photographer
This family of five from North Andover celebrated newest arrival, Mr. H, with some newborn photos in my studio. He was baby number three for this family, and the first boy. His two big sisters were a huge part of this newborn session. And they were already such amazing big sisters! I photographed both of these little ladies for their newborn photos (you can see middle sister Miss C’s newborn photos here). Biggest sister, Miss E, also came to me for first birthday cake smash photos. I was so happy to see this family back in my studio, and so pleased to help them celebrate Mr. H.

Including Siblings in Newborn Photos
When it comes to including siblings in newborn photos like this North Andover session, it is entirely up to the parents. Some choose to have the focus be entirely on the newest arrival. And that is completely okay! But for parents who are interested in including older siblings, I am always a fan. Not only does it make for really great photos and keepsakes. But I know how much it means to siblings to be included in the session. Depending on the age of the older siblings, it can be a tough time for them when the new arrival comes. Being included in the newborn photos can help them feel like they’re part of the fun.
Another great thing about including siblings in the session is that they don’t actually have to stay for the entire session. Typically newborn sessions are 2 hours long, which can be a bit much for some kiddos. Some families have mom stay with the newborn at the session and dad leave with the older kids. For these newborn photos near North Andover, the grandmother came along and took the girls when the family and sibling photos were done. This can lessen the stress of the session!
