Miss L’s Newborn Portraits :: Methuen Family Photographer

This beautiful family came to my studio from Methuen MA for Miss L’s newborn and family portraits. I have been a family photographer near Methuen and surrounding areas since 2009, and I love my job as much if not more now than I did when I started. Getting to meet families, and being welcomed into the fold even if it’s just for a few hours is something I am so thankful for. Any family portrait or milestone photography session is exciting for me. But there is nothing quite like the joy and wonder involved with newborn portrait sessions. And sweet little Miss L’s session is no exception.

I was able to photograph Miss L nestled in her mommy’s and daddy’s arms, as well as with her grandmother AND her great-grandmother. What a lucky little lady she is! I also made sure to capture some solo portraits of Miss L. There are so many different poses I love for newborn portraits, and the tushy in the air is absolutely one of my favorites. Being a Methuen area newborn and family photographer, I have definitely tried all the newborn poses over the years. Including Extended Family in New Baby Photos

I had previously met this family for mom’ maternity portraits. At that session it had been mom, dad, big brother, and baby’s grandmother. For this session, mom, dad and grandmother were back. Unfortunately big brother couldn’t be here for the newborn photos, but in his place came Miss L’s great-grandmother. The four generations photo is one that I absolutely love, and I know that all the ladies in that photo are, or will be, so incredibly grateful to have that photo.

When it comes to your Methuen area newborn portrait session, I always welcome extended family members. Whether that means a grandparent (or grandparents), a special aunt or uncle, or even a nanny or caretaker. It might be a cliche, but as a mom myself I know that it truly does take a village to raise our little ones. And I am all for celebrating that village in these newborn photos! I send all clients a questionnaire to fill out prior to this session. This questionnaire covers everything from must have photos to styling. But I also ask for a run-down on who will be present for a session. This way I’m ready and able to accommodate everyone!
