Lawrence Newborn Photographer :: Miss C
Little Miss C and her family came to my studio from nearby Lawrence for her newborn portraits. I had met her family before, and had even photographed her big brother when he was a teeny tiny newborn! I went to college with Miss C’s mom, which made it extra fun to catch up for these portraits. You might recognize Miss C’s dad. He’s actually the Mayor of Lawrence! He was so instrumental in the gas explosions that happened in the area this past fall. As someone who was personally impacted by the gas crisis, I’m super thankful for all the work that he did!
Styling For This Newborn Session
The focus on this newborn session was soft and feminine colors. Neutrals like cream and white made an appearance, which mixed perfectly with the shades of lilac and purple, and the pops of pink. The pink bonnet stands out against the white fur and white wrap perfectly. I love white on white with a pop of color.
One of my favorite props that I have in the studio is the floral wreath. Miss C looks so sweet and peaceful sleeping surrounded by flowers, she could be a little fairy! And how sweet does she look with the pink knit blanket and matching crown her mom brought? These accessories are too adorable.

You send me a photo of the wall you want to decorate and I can digitally add your portraits to the wall. This way you can try it before you buy it! Here’s an example using the photos from this session and a stock photo of a living room. This is also a great example of how I can keep a color scheme throughout your session. The pinks and purples in Miss C’s session match the color scheme in this living room perfectly.
