Miss Z’s Floral and Feminine Newborn Photos :: Chelmsford MA Photographer
Miss Z and her family came to my studio from my nearby hometown of Chelmsford MA for her newborn photos. This session was a little bit extra special for me since her parents are dear friends of mine since high school! I previously photographed her big sister, Miss A, for her newborn, 7 month, and cake smash photos. Getting to help this amazing family celebrate their second baby girl was so much fun. For these newborn photos it was all about soft feminine colors and floral touches. Keep scrolling for so many ideas and inspiration!
Choosing a Color Palette for Newborn Photos
This session is a great example when it comes to choosing color palettes for newborn portraits, especially with a floral and feminine twist. All of the colors are soft, leaning more on the muted side. They’re light without necessarily being pastels. The floral blanket was a great starting point, and I absolutely love how the blue worked with it. I love using blue for baby girls! The dusty light purple manages to be both classic and unexpected. Another unexpected choice is the soft green-blue. It is a perfect match to mom in the family portraits. And it looks stunning with the purple knit blanket. Big sister Miss A in soft buttery yellow is the perfect complement without at all matching. If you’re looking to incorporate soft, feminine, floral vibes in your newborn photos while still being unique, this session is the perfect inspiration for you!
