Pretty Lilac Newborn Photos for Miss A :: Wilmington MA Photographer

Move over, pink. It’s purple’s time to shine! I am really, really loving this gorgeous light purple, lilac shade for newborn photos lately. It’s a great update to the ever so classic baby pink. I think it is a great addition to the line up, especially as a pop of color with neutrals. It looks gorgeous with shades of white and gray as a sweet little addition. Everything about this newborn session says sweet and girly. From one of my favorite newborn props, the little lace inspired fabric basket. To the floral pillow and wrap. And of course we cannot forget all of the various bows, headbands, and tiny knit hats. All in all a great source of inspiration.

Another plus to this session? The amount of variety it has. There are great photos with props and accessories. But also some that are very classic and simple. Plus there are some light and airy ones. And others with the dark background. Another type of variety that I think is often overlooked is the variety of textures and how they look in portraits. In this case, the use of chunky knit blanket (in the beautiful shade of lilac perfect for newborn photos) adds so much visual interest to the photos without having to add even more contrast or accessories.
