Miss P’s Newborn Photos as Styling Inspiration :: Chelmsford MA Photographer
Miss P came from nearby Chelmsford MA for her newborn portrait session. This session was all about baby. Sometimes parents want to include themselves and any older siblings in newborn sessions. And other times they only want photos of the new arrival. I can see the pros to either option, so whichever works best for the family is alright with me! In this case, Miss P is baby number four for this family. I photographed older brother Mr. N (baby number 3) for his newborn photos. But I have photographed the entire family for fall family photos numerous times over the years. I loved getting to meet Miss P, and getting to put all my focus on her for these photos. And I have to say, I love these newborn portraits and they are great for styling inspiration!
Props and Accessories for Newborn Photos
One interesting thing about this newborn session is that while it has a ton of styling choices and variety, there aren’t a ton of props. At least not in the way that I usually refer to props for newborn portraits. Typically when I talk about newborn props I mean all the bowls, baskets, buckets, and more that newborns can get cozy inside of or on top of for photos. While this session does include a very adorable set up with a little wicker basket, for the most part it’s more about the accessories. I think this is a great option for parents who want a lot of variety or customization, but aren’t into the idea of too many traditional props. Instead, this session used knit blankets, soft furs, pillows, and accessories. The star headband is one I have in my studio, and I love how it looks with the star blanket Miss P’s parents brought along. Same with the floral headband and the pretty green swaddle.
The angel wings are ones I’ve used quite a few times in newborn (and Valentine’s Day) sessions, and I always love how they look. And I can’t forget to mention the little strawberry knit hat, either. All of the accessories in this session are perfect newborn styling inspiration!
