Mr. H’s 3 Month Old Baby Portraits :: Boxford MA Photographer
Were you unable to get professional pictures during the first 3 weeks of your baby’s life and now you think you’ve entirely missed out? Mr. H and I are here to tell you that is definitely not the case! Three month portraits are so wonderful for so many different reasons. This handsome little man was actually closer to 2.5 months during these photos. But this session is a great example of how even your 3 month old baby is able to get some of the “traditional” new baby portraits.
He was awake and alert during most of the session (something that doesn’t tend to happen during newborn photos!). But we did manage to lull him into sleep which allowed me to wrap and swaddle him like I would a newborn. This was perfect for those photos with his parents holding them in their arms, showcasing just how little he is. I love doing this for newborn sessions, so that parents are able to look back at them and remember how tiny their baby was once upon a time. But they can work just as well during these 3 month old baby pictures.
What to Expect for Baby Photos
The 3 month old milestone is such a fun and exciting one, and great for baby pictures. Your baby is starting to be more alert, reacting more to things. This means it’s usually possible (but not a guarantee!) to get a few smiles on film. Plus, the outfits are just too adorable. And at this age there are a ton of options for poses. I have a ton of props available in the studio if parents would like to use them. This family came to the studio with a few outfits but no real expectations. As most parents can tell you, not having too many set expectations can be a good thing with babies. After all, they are definitely the boss, you can’t always control how they act! This whole family was wonderful to have in the studio. I am so glad I was able to capture these portraits of Mr. H!
