Mr. G’s St. Patrick’s Day Inspired First Birthday Cake Smash :: North Andover Photographer
Was your lucky little one born around March 17th? Then what better way to celebrate their lucky ONE first birthday than with a St. Patrick’s Day cake smash?! That was what cutie Mr. G from North Andover’s parents decided for his cake smash photos. I had first met this family for mama’s gorgeous outdoor Maternity Photos in winter 2020. Then, Covid struck. Since I was unable to do a traditional newborn session for Mr. G, this family was instead part of my Front Steps Project. I then got to meet Mr. G up close for his 3 month photos. His 3 month session was so great, he even fell asleep and let me get some newborn-like baby photos of him! Since this session, this family of three became a family of 4 and welcomed Mr. G’s baby sister. I just recently photographed HER cake smash session. Time flies!
Incorporating a Holiday as a Theme
I’ve done a few St. Patrick’s Day inspired first birthday sessions like these North Andover cake smash photos. And as an Irish gal myself, I always love it. This one was super fun. Leprechaun hats, pots of gold, and shamrocks everywhere. Mr. G was the perfect little leprechaun in his bowtie and suspenders. An ombre green cake adorned with a shamrock was the perfect accompaniment. Add some green balloons, and some glitter and gold scattered about. It all makes for a winning cake smash combination!
