Including Siblings in Newborn Pictures
One of the best things about being a professional baby, child, and family portrait photographer is getting to watch families grow and evolve. In this case, this family came to me first for daughter number three’s newborn photos. At the time, big sister’s were 2 and 4 and it was so great getting to include them in their new baby sister’s portraits. Just over two years after that session, I was photographing baby girl number four! You can see big sister #3’s newborn photos here: Topsfield Newborn Photographer. I love that each of the two girls had their own distinct color scheme for the family and sibling part of their sessions. But there is still a common link between the newborn portraits. I love that these two little ladies will get to look at their own newborn portraits as they grow up and see all of the similarities and differences between them.
Having three older sisters involved in a session is so much fun. And all three of these big sisters were sweet and adorable. They rocked their sister portraits, and I made sure to grab some solo portraits of each girl as well. When it comes to Posing 3 or More Siblings, there could be some challenges. But I’ve been doing this for a while so I’ve learned some tricks! I love when parents bring older siblings for newborn sessions, no matter how old they are–or how many!
