Topsfield Newborn Photographer :: Miss C

Miss C and her family visited my studio from nearby Topsfield for her newborn photo session. Her family included her mom, dad, and two big sisters. It was so much fun getting to meet this sweet family. The two big sisters were so sweet with their new baby. Mom’s number one wish for this session was to get a portrait of all three girls to hang above their fireplace. Make sure you scroll all the way to the bottom to see how sweet these three sisters are together!

Styling Choices for This North Andover Newborn Photo Session

For the family portrait part of this newborn photo session, the chosen pop of color was one that I don’t typically use for baby girls: blue! And let me tell you, I love a little lady in blue. Pink might be a classic color choice for baby girls, but once upon a time pink was actually for boys. For a fun little history lesson check out this article about clothing color choices for babies.

But back to these little ones. I love the way that Miss C in her blue swaddle pops against the rest of her family in all white. With the photos of her big sisters, the blue of her swaddle matches the detailing in their white dresses perfectly. For Miss C’s solo shots, the styling ranged from white on white (always a favorite of mine) to the classic baby pink, to darker shades of purple. All of the colors added just the right pop against what was otherwise neutral styling. The best of both worlds!

What To Do With Your Portraits

Like I mentioned earlier, Mom’s goal was to get a picture of all three girls for above the fireplace. What you may not know is here at Crabapple Photography we also design custom wall art galleries for you. Mom sent us a photo of her fireplace (not the one pictured, we respect people’s personal space, ha!) and we mocked up what her portraits would look like in her own home. This gives you a great idea of what sizes would work best in what spaces, and really brings your vision to life. We want you to love not only your portraits but the way you display them, and this is definitely the way to do it!
