The B Family’s Beach Portraits :: Lexington Family Photographer
These cold and gray winter days are the perfect time to reminisce about summer and beach photo sessions. And this sweet Lexington family’s beach portraits are some great ones to look back on. I love everything from the curly pig tails on little miss, to the pure joy and love you can see shining on everyone’s faces. And the beautiful beach backdrop definitely doesn’t hurt either! This family is one that I have photographed quite a few times during the years and I am always happy to see them.
There are a lot of iconic things about New England. And I would say that our beaches are definitely one of them. Over the past few years, beach family portraits have become much more popular with my clients. And I have got to say, I absolutely love them. Looking at this session makes me very nostalgic for summer. Plus it makes me extra excited for this coming summer. If you’re interested in beach family photos, send me an email. It’s never too early to start booking your session!
Have you been considering family portraits, but not quite sure if they’re the right idea for your family? I have a blog post all about some of the things I hear family’s say when they’re not convinced they should get family portraits, and my answers to all those questions. You can check it out here: Family Portraits and 8 Common Reasons People Put Them Off. And don’t forget to check out our family photo Pinterest board, too!
Styling Ideas for Beach Family Photos
When it comes to any outdoor photo session, it’s important to take into consideration the colors that will be around you when you’re planning your outfits. Whether your photos will be taken in a garden, park, or on the beach there will be more colors involved than if we were taking the portraits in front of my neutral backdrops in my studio. Because of this, choosing neutral clothing is usually a great idea. When it comes to beach photos like the ones of this Lexington family, blue and white is such a classic color combination. Navy and white screams New England nautical to me. Add in some lighter shades of blue and some light khaki and you have a color palette that is as timeless and classic as can be.
