Burlington MA Child Photographer :: 3 Year Old Miss N
I’ve known this little lady her whole life! I first “met” her while she was in mommy’s belly and I’ve seen her and her family a bunch of times since then. They came to my studio from their home in Burlington MA for these child portraits. These are her three year mini portraits that come complimentary with the baby’s first year portraits package. This session is a shorter session and it is all about the child portraits.
I love getting the chance to see the babies I photographed a little grown up. Three is such a fun and funny age, and Miss N definitely shows just how fun it is! At three years old, these littles have such big personalities. My goal in these Burlington child portraits is to make sure I can showcase their personalities a little bit. Miss N had such a great smile, and I was able to get some great pictures of her big, bright smile during this Burlington portrait session. Sometimes to get these littles to smile we have to act a little bit like clowns. We might look (and sound) ridiculous making faces and singing songs, but it is always worth it in the end.

Styling For This Burlington MA Child Portrait Session
For Miss N’s Burlington three year child photos, we wanted to incorporate a slight fall theme. I took some portraits of her wearing her pretty pink dress. But then we changed her into this pretty cream colored dress. With the addition of some (fake) fall leaves, we were able to create the perfect touch of fall in her portraits.
Sometimes less can definitely be more. Just the addition of these leaves against the dark rustic wood was enough to make these portraits Autumn themed. This is a great example of how much of a difference props can make. Plus, letting a three year old throw some leaves around is a great way to make them smile!
I see this little lady and her sweet family regularly for family photos and mini sessions, and every time I love the way mama styles her whole family, especially her little ones. For great dresses and outfits for little ones, I love to recommend Boden and Janie and Jack!

Displaying Photos In Your Child’s Rooms
When we think of hanging portraits of our child in our homes, usually we think about living rooms, home offices, maybe even on staircases. But what about in our children’s rooms? I love the idea of using the portraits as decorations in bedrooms. And don’t replace older photos with new ones, just add them to what’s already there. As your child gets older, the portraits in their room will show them getting older. If you need help choosing which portraits to hang where, I can help. Send me a photo of the wall you want to decorate and I can digitally add your photos to the wall. Interested in framed artwork? I can add the frames digitally as well. No more second guessing! You can see an example from this Burlington child portrait session below.
