Little Dude B’s Colorful Baseball Cake Smash :: Woburn MA
Mr. B and his parents from Woburn came to my Andover MA studio recently to celebrate Mr. B’s first birthday with a fun cake smash session. This was so much fun for me because I had seen Mr. B numerous times over the year leading up to this exciting milestone. I had first photographed him during his newborn session. I then saw him for photos with Santa before photographing his sitter session. This Woburn cake smash session was over the summer and I got to see him again just this past holiday season. Needless to say, I loved getting to watch this little man grow over the year.

Choosing A Theme For Your Photos
Whether it’s a newborn photos, a family portraits, or any baby milestone, a theme can always be incorporated into your session. But cake smash sessions are without a doubt the most popular session to include a theme in. These themes can be anything from a specific color palette, to a character, or in the case of this Woburn cake smash: baseball! Mr. B’s mama told me that their family were big sports fans, and they wanted to include sports in Mr. B’s first birthday photos for this reason.
There are many different ways to incorporate a theme. Especially something like baseball. I recently had another baseball themed cake smash that was more vintage inspired. For Mr. B’s Woburn cake smash, mama knew she wanted the adorable “Rookie Of The Year” banner behind Mr. B. We used the colorful, sparkly backdrop, added some baseballs and a glove. And no baseball game is complete without some popcorn! All of these little details add a touch of color and whimsy while staying classic.
