Concord MA Baby Photographer :: 8 Month Old Miss T

Miss T and her family came to my studio from nearby Concord, MA for her 8 month session. This wasn’t my first (or last) time photographing her. I had seen her before this for both her newborn session and her 3 month session. And after this I saw her again for her one year photos and again at 18 months for a Valentine’s Day mini session! It’s always great to be able to see “my” kiddos again and again during their first year of life.

About Sitter Sessions

“Sitter” sessions are between 6-9 months when babies are able to sit on their own. This is such a great time to photograph, and I’m so happy that more and more parents are booking their own sitter sessions. There are numerous benefits to this age group. For one thing, their personalities are so much fun. Miss T was such a ham during her session. I mean, look how happy she is!

Another benefit to sitter sessions is that there are so many options and opportunities for variety in your gallery.  As you can see, Miss T can lay on the pink fur for a few shots, both on her back and belly, as well as sit facing me, away from me and in various shots. And in Miss T’s case, stand up with the help of a chair.

During the first year, there are so many different milestones. And each one from newborn to three months and all the way to the first birthday deserves to be celebrated. But this milestone, when they’re sitting on their own, interacting with you, but still not able to get up and run away, is one of my personal favorites to photograph.
