Mr. E’s Star Wars Themed Cake Smash :: Wilmington Baby Photographer
The force was definitely with us when Mr. E came to my studio from nearby Wilmington for his 1 year baby photos and cake smash! This session happened last summer and was one of the first sessions I was photographing back in my studio. It was strange to be back after being closed for months due to Covid-19. And something that still blows my mind to this day is thinking about how many babies and toddlers were either born during those early months. Or how many were reaching the level of being alert to their surroundings. Mr. E had barely seen anyone but his mama and daddy in about six months leading up to this session. Stranger Danger is always a concern with toddlers, but it’s definitely even more of a concern these days!

Incorporating a Theme in Your First Birthday Session
I am so excited to talk about this Wilmington cake smash theme because not only is it great, but it’s also so meaningful to Mr. E’s parents. Any cake smash theme is fun, but there’s a little added something special when it’s one that means a lot to the family. In this case, mom and dad actually had a Star Wars themed wedding. Some of these props are ones they had AT their wedding and now they have them for Mr. E’s cake smash. How cool is that?! And luckily for my future clients, they are so sweet and actually allowed me to keep them for future sessions. I’m honestly the luckiest Wilmington area baby photographer because I have such amazing clients.
