Little Dude A’s Cake Smash Photography Session from Arlington MA
Little Dude A and his family came from Arlington MA for his cake smash photography session. I had previously photographed Mr. A for his six month sitter session photos. Since this session, this family has grown by two! I recently photographed Mr. A and Miss K’s brand new baby sisters for their newborn session AND their six month sitter session. I love getting to watch these families grow!
I love that this Arlington cake smash session was about capturing Mr. A’s milestone first birthday, but that this sweet family also took advantage of their session and got lots of great family portraits. One Year Portrait Styling Ideas
Before this Arlington cake smash session, as with any session, I sent mom and dad a styling questionnaire to fill out. This is to make sure we are all on the same page when it comes to photo priorities as well as styling. Mom mentioned that as far as the cake smash was concerned, she like light and bright. She also said she wanted blues and grays for the color scheme. With the help of a blue ONE banner, and some balloons, I think we nailed the simple, light and bright set design. Some parents want lots of props during their child’s sessions. For this mama, she wanted Mr. A and the cake to be the star of the show. Sometimes less is more, and I’m loving this simple Arlington cake smash.
