Neutral Newborn Photo Color Palettes :: Tewksbury MA Photographer
This sweet little man came from Tewksbury MA with his parents for his newborn photos. I always send out questionnaires before a session. This helps me learn what parents like in terms of styling, poses, and color palettes. For this session, there were a few things that mama mentioned. One of the questions always asks about the styling/colors of the nursery. This gives me a good idea of what parents like. Plus it makes it more cohesive if parents choose to hang newborn wall art in the nursery. It’s especially helpful when choosing between a bold or neutral color palette for the newborn photo session.
As for this family, they were waiting until birth to find out if they were having a little boy or girl. This meant they were keeping the nursery neutral with the option of adding a pop of color once baby was born. They also mentioned a “subtle space theme”. One extra note that mom left about the styling for this session was that dad wanted to include his baseball glove in some way. I love the color palette for this newborn portrait session. The neutral shades, with lots of browns and creams, is perfect. It’s a great blend of classic and timeless while still being totally on trend. The burlap moon prop is a fan favorite. It’s a little rustic, a little boho, and is the perfect addition for that subtle space theme the parents were looking for!
