Ideas and Inspiration for Summer Family Photoshoot :: Arlington MA Photographer
I first met this family when mom was pregnant with little brother Mr. A for her maternity photos. They were back in my studio for his newborn photos and cake smash, too. This time, we met up outside for some perfect summer family photos. If you’re looking for ideas when it comes to styling a summer family photoshoot, look no further. I love the subtle red white and blue color palette. Perfect for summer and slightly patriotic without being too in your face with it. Little brother’s plaid shirt is what I sometimes call a “hero outfit” in family portraits. It contains all the colors and is the only print used for the entire family. Then every other member of the family is wearing an outfit drawing from that color palette. This keeps everything cohesive without being too matchy!
I love outdoor summer photoshoots. Fall is still the most popular time of year for outdoor sessions. But over the last few years more and more families have chosen to brave the heat for outdoor photos. Whether they’re in a park or at the beach, these sessions are especially great for active kiddos who need to burn off some energy. Plus they come with a gorgeous background! If you’re looking for family photos this summer, consider an outdoor session!
