Oh, Valentine’s Day. The holiday dedicated to love. What’s not to like about a day dedicated to love?! Valentine’s Day is one of those holidays that does have a tendency to divide some people. Whether it’s because it’s seen as a “greeting card holiday” or because people just aren’t a fan of overt displays of affection. But either way, some people don’t quite love the day of love. I could always understand it. And then, I became a parent. And my whole idea of love totally and completely changed. Now, I can’t get enough of Valentine’s Day. Which is why I started offering Valentine’s Day photo mini sessions a few years ago, and haven’t stopped.
Seasonal Mini Sessions
Every year I offer seasonal mini sessions a few times a year. The set designs and themes might change from year to year. But I always listen to input from clients, check out popular trends, and come up with something seasonal. For Valentine’s Day portraits, one mini theme that has been popular for years is the kissing booth! I offer more simplistic designs and options like heart shaped balloons, or a simple heart banner. But sometimes I have a little more fun with it and get creative. Last year that meant a bit of a rustic, farmhouse style set design with wooden crates and roses. I always have two different set ups, one with the dark wood background and one with the white background. I can’t wait for clients to see what I have in store this year!
