Mr. J’s Newborn Pictures :: Amesbury Photographer
Sweet Mr. J came to my studio from nearby Amesbury MA for his newborn pictures. He brought along his big sister, Miss A, for the ride. I had previously photographed Miss A for her newborn session, and featured Miss A’s super adorable cake smash session on the blog. You can see that here: Amesbury Cake Smash Photos. I love when parents bring along older siblings for newborn photos. For one thing, it helps the older sibling to feel included and involved. Plus, the photos are always super cute and a great keepsake for the whole family.
Coordinating Multiple Sessions with Different Siblings
I love getting the chance to photograph multiple little ones from the same family. For one thing, it meant catching up with Miss A and seeing her as a big sister for the first time. But it’s also always so much fun to see how parents change it up between sessions. Miss A’s cake smash was super floral, boho and feminine. For her newborn portraits, there was a good mix between feminine and simple. Kind of like how for Mr. J’s newborn photos we kept it classic with some neutrals and shades of blue. Both this session and Miss A’s newborn photos used props, but slightly different ones. Miss A had a cream colored bed whereas Mr. J had a brown wooden one. And for a second prop both babies had some of my favorites. Miss A was snuggled up sleeping in a little wooden bowl. And Mr. J is in one of my absolute favorite newborn props. This half moon is the perfect blend of rustic, boho, and whimsical. I love it! But one thing
