1 Year Old Miss A’s Cake Smash Celebration Photos :: Amesbury Baby Photographer
I was lucky enough to help Miss A celebrate her first birthday with some Amesbury cake smash photos. And this little lady absolutely smashed (pun obviously intended) her session. We started off the day with some family portraits to help Miss A get situated and comfortable in my studio and with my assistant and myself. She gave me some absolutely precious huge smiles, and gave mama the sweetest hug. I had to take advantage of her simply adorable light purple romper with some solo portraits. But then, it was time for the real celebrating: the cake smash!
One year portraits are so much fun for so many reasons. And while the cake smash tends to be what we talk about the most, the solo portraits before we get messy are always some of my favorites, too. If you’re on the fence about not just cake smash photos but one year portraits on a whole, trust me you will definitely never regret these milestone portraits. Cake Smash Styling Ideas
I would be lying if I said that coming up with styling ideas for cake smash sessions like this Amesbury one wasn’t one of my favorite things to do. But seriously, how could you not love styling these super fun portraits? Over my years I have seen everything from simple to elaborate and I love them all in their own way. For this one, mama had mentioned that Miss A’s first birthday party was going to be “Wild One with a boho floral feel to it” and that for these photos she was leaning towards a “whimsical floral woodland” theme. Needless to say, I was 100% on board for this! We started with the perfect boho teepee and added some cascading flowers and vines. I love the way that the flowers on the floor in the teepee add the perfect pop of color.
I love helping my clients by creating their dream cake smash set. Whether that means a specific theme or even a color scheme. My goal is to make sure you are thrilled with the session. You can see more of the cake smash sessions I have photographed in the past here: Cake Smash Theme Ideas.
