8 Month Old Mr. H’s 8 Month Baby Photos Mini Session :: Andover MA
Mr. H came to my Andover MA photography studio for his 8 month baby photos. This session is called a sitter session since the milestone we are celebrating is being able to sit on their own! I love sitter sessions. This age is such a fun one. Kiddos are able to interact more, smile easily (sometimes), and as an added benefit they’re not quite mobile yet during their baby photos. This means we can take advantage of them sitting up, or doing some tummy time, or include some props in the portraits.
Mr. H’s mama wanted the focus of these Andover baby photos to be fully on his adorable little smile, so we skipped the props for this session. But I have an abundance of props in my studio that clients are welcome to take advantage of during their session!

What Is A Mini Session?
A mini session like these Andover baby photos session is just what it sounds like: a smaller, shorter portrait session. Of course, there’s a little more to it than that. While an average session is between 1-2 hours depending on the age of the baby or child, a mini session is roughly 20 minutes. This means there isn’t time for outfit changes or too many props. But it’s the perfect option for parents who want just a few different poses to capture a certain milestone.
I do offer mini sessions for all different milestones, but because of the limited time available during the session, I do have to limit the amount of people included in family mini sessions, or the age limits for certain milestones. For example, newborn sessions must take place within the first 21 days. For a milestone like this sitter session, there are less limitations.
