Miss K’s Minnie Mouse Themed Cake Smash in Windham NH

Miss K came to my studio from nearby Windham NH to celebrate her first birthday with a fun and pretty cake smash photo session. As always, we started off with some family photos and some solo shots of Miss K. She showed off her walking skills, and I broke out the bubble machine (always a hit). Cake smash and one year photo sessions are hands down some of the most fun we have in my studio.

Including a Theme in Your Cake Smash Photos

I’ve said it before on this blog, but I truly do love a theme for cake smash sessions. The great thing about these sessions is that they truly are the best time to get colorful and have fun. These photos are all about celebrating your child’s first birthday. This is the final milestone in the first year of baby’s life and it is most certainly one worth celebrating. At one year old, your baby has a personality that is all their own. Which is why it’s so much fun to capture those little personalities in their portrait session.

Also at one year old, your little one might already have a book, show, movie, or song that they absolutely love. Or (as is often the case) you might have a book, show, or movie that you love to read or watch with your baby. Maybe it’s one that is meaningful to your family. Or maybe it connects to your child’s name or birth month. For this little lady’s Windham NH cake smash, mama wanted a Minnie Mouse theme. But not just any Minnie Mouse.
