Mr. S’s Newborn Portraits near Medford MA

This sweet little guy came to my studio from nearby Medford MA for his newborn portraits. Getting the chance to capture newborn photos for new parents is something that I am so happy to do. There is a lot of trust that goes into choosing a newborn photographer. Not only are you investing in these keepsakes to have for generations. But you’re also trusting me and my team to care for your baby (and yourself) during your session.
Safety is always the most important thing for me during any session, and newborn photos definitely take a little extra care and safety. Styling Inspiration from these Medford Newborn Photos

For these newborn photos, it was all about simplicity. Sure, I used an assortment of props. But they all make for timeless and simple photos. The color scheme was kept to neutrals–browns, blues. grays and whites. This is a great way to make sure that the styling is consistent throughout the newborn portrait session.
I do really love the way that the photo of Mr. S on the white fur really pops while scrolling through his gallery. That photo is also a great way to see what a difference textures can make in a photo. While there is a lot of white-on-white with the swaddle, the knit blanket and the fur, the different textures create a contrast so that it isn’t all one note. This can be important in newborn portraits since there isn’t contrast created with clothing. All of that on the dark wood flooring creates a lot of interest in one photo, while still keeping it neutral and simple.

Displaying Your Artwork At Home
After your session, it’s time to choose what to do with your photos. For some families that means creating a custom fine art album. For others it means choosing the absolute perfect gift for family members. And for some it means choosing wall art to display in your home. No matter which option (or even all the options) is best for your family, I am here to help. I can even create a wall art mock-up using a photo of your walls to show you how your pictures will look in your home. Below is an example using photos from these Medford newborn portraits. I love how classic and timeless black and white canvases look. They truly fit with any style of decor.
