Tewksbury Newborn Portraits :: Little Dude J
Little man J and his parents came to the studio from nearby Tewksbury MA for his newborn portraits. And let me tell you, he rocked his photo shoot! We started off with family portraits, but then the spotlight was fully on newborn Mr. J. He slept through all of his cozy, swaddled photos. And then when we switched it up and went to the naked baby photos, he slept through those, too. Of course with the lights down low, heat up high, and our white noise machine, it’s easy to be happy and sleepy.
Did you know that some of these newborn poses have names? They do! Check out this blog post about my top six favorite newborn poses. This Tewksbury newborn portrait session managed to get just about every one. Amazing!
Using Props in New Baby Photos
If you’ve been to my studio at all, chances are you’ve seen my pretty extensive collection of props. I have some out in the studio on top of the shelving unit. And more in the back room. Plus more in our office area. And more in the storage closet. Basically, I have A LOT of newborn props and accessories. It’s possible I have an obsession/problem. But this just means that my clients get to take full advantage of this problem. For these Tewksbury newborn photos of Mr. J, I used this rustic, burlap crescent moon bed. This prop is one of my favorites (I say that about a lot of props, though!) and one that I definitely need to use more. How precious does he look? Sweetest dreams, Mr. J!
Why I Love Being a Newborn Photographer
I can’t even begin to count the number of people who turn to me (and my assistant) during a session and say “You really have the best job!” and they are so right. Getting to cuddle sweet little babies all day is definitely up there on the list of best jobs. But being a newborn photographer goes beyond cuddling babies. I get the opportunity to meet sweet families like this Tewksbury family, capture these precious newborn memories, and give them portraits as keepsakes that they will have for years and generations to come. What could be better or more rewarding than that?
