Reading MA Newborn Photos :: Mr. A
Mr. A and his family came to my studio from nearby Reading, MA for his newborn photos. This was my first time meeting this family, but I had actually photographed their cousin before! Whenever I get a client who was referred by another client, I am always so thrilled and humbled. It seriously means so much to me every time someone shares my work with others or says something nice about me (cue Sally Field’s “they like me” speech). I love my job!
We started off this session with family portraits. I do this to make sure that everyone is comfortable and relaxed. Plus, this also means that once family portraits are done everyone can relax a little more! This mama had mentioned in her pre-session questionnaire that she was usually the one taking the photos, which meant she wasn’t usually in photos with her kids. I’m sure most moms can agree that this is the case for them, too. Which is why getting professional portraits is so important! This is also why I do everything I can to make these sessions relaxing and stress-free. I even have a blog post about getting the most out of your session. Check it out here: Tips for Getting the Most out of your Newborn Portrait Session.
Including Big Sister in these Reading MA Newborn Photos
This big sister was just shy of 2 years old when her baby brother was born. This can be a tricky age for photos, but she was perfect. And seriously, could she be cuter? I even managed to get some solo shots of her–you can see one of those below. These two being so close in age, I am positive that they will be the best of friends. It’s so special that they have these portraits of the two of them together!
This session was all about blue for this family’s first baby boy. Mom, dad, big sis, and baby A were all in shades of blue. Big sister’s blue and white dress was the perfect classic choice. Timeless pieces like these are always a great idea for portraits. Some of my favorite places to get timeless, classic pieces are Janie and Jack or Hope and Henry!
What Mom Is Saying
Kate is amazing! We met with her to do newborn photos. She sent us an incredibly thorough overview of what to expect ahead of time so that we were prepared and could get the best shots possible. She and her assistant worked some sort of incredible magic to get beautiful shots of us with our newborn and two-year-old (neither of whom would generally be described as cooperative). And she was able to capture the perfect “sleepy” shot of my newborn who did not seem particularly inclined to seep, and got gorgeous smiles from my daughter who has a very short attention span! We are SO happy with our photos and absolutely plan to keep coming back for more! -Mr. A’s mom
After Your Session
After your Reading MA newborn photos session, it’s time to choose what to do with your photos. I know how exhausting those early days and weeks with a newborn can be. Which is why I make it my goal to make the entire process as easy and stress-free as possible. I offer in-studio or virtual viewing and ordering sessions to help walk you through all of your photos as well as all of your options. I work with clients one on one to design their custom photo albums or to help them choose the best prints and products for gifts.
And for those who are interested in wall art, I can even help show how the artwork will look. Using a photo of a client’s wall, I can digitally add their artwork as framed prints or gallery wrapped canvases. This helps clients envision how their artwork will look with their decor. It also helps to determine what size is best for their space. Below is an example from this session.
