Rowley MA Fall Family Photos :: Miss A and Family
This was not my first time photographing this family from nearby Rowley MA for family photos. I first met mom and dad when Miss A was still in her mama’s tummy for her maternity photos! I also got to capture Miss A’s newborn photos which you can see here. And since this outdoor fall family session I saw them again for her 15 month photos! I love being able to watch these little ones grow and change.
Miss A was completely adorable (as always) during this session. Especially when dad was making her fly through the air and when mom was tickling her! Plus, the bubbles were definitely a big hit. She was just under a year which is a fun age. They interact with you and smile easily, but they’re not entirely mobile either. I also absolutely love the way this little bed looks nestled in the grass. There’s something almost whimsical about it–like it came out of a fairytale!

Styling for Fall Family Photos
I love the styling decisions for this session. Mom and dad are both in white tops and jeans. Not only is this comfy and stylish, but the white pops against the greens and browns behind them. Miss A’s dress brings in the shades browns while adding just a tiny pop of red. And her knit poncho is definitely my favorite. Not only does the cream color match mom and dad, but the knit texture is perfect for fall! Fall means all things comfy and cozy, so heavy knits are perfect for fall family photos. They’re cozy, adorable, and definitely practical. When it comes to outdoor photo sessions, wearing layers is definitely key. In New England it can go from chilly one second to warm the next. We love Janie and Jack and J.Crew Kids for classic staples.

Creating a Wall Gallery
One of my favorite things about being a photographer is getting to create gorgeous keepsakes for families to have for generations. This is why I try to make the process of choosing and ordering prints and products as easy as possible. And for clients that want wall artwork, I am even able to help them see their photos on their walls without having to purchase anything. Thanks to the magic of technology, I can digitally add a client’s photos to a photo they send me of a wall in their home. This is especially helpful when creating a wall gallery. Here’s an example from this session.

Crabapple Photography is conveniently located in Andover, MA and serves clients throughout the Merrimack Valley and North Shore MA areas including Georgetown, Newbury, Ipswich, Boxford, Topsfield and more. Contact Kate today to book your family portrait session!
