Boxford Family Photos with the R Family

I met up with the R family from Boxford for some family portraits. It was the third time I met up with the family. First for baby girl’s newborn portraits, then three month portraits. Now for her six month portraits. Fall is always a popular time for family portraits, and it’s really no mystery as to why. Look at the color in these photos! This was peak week in the fall and it could not have been more gorgeous.

This family of four was joined by their grandfather for a few portraits. Being able to include extended family into a photo shoot is something that I always love to do. The main focus, as usual, was on the little ones. These two sisters were so adorable together. Big sis held her little sister’s hand, and was so sweet to her. And seriously, how cute is the picture of the two of them with huge smiles on their faces? I’m in love.

Styling Choices for these Boxford Fall Family Photos

Fall is such a spectacular time for family portraits. The colors are incredible, there’s a reason why people travel from all around for Fall in New England! But, that also means more things to take into consideration when planning what to wear. Fall brings with it so many shades of orange, red, and yellow. But, especially in early Fall, there’s also a lot of green and brown. It’s always a good idea to keep this in mind when choosing a color scheme. For this family, the colors chosen were great because they worked well with the colors of Fall around them, while also standing out. Cohesiveness is important in photos, and while that doesn’t necessarily have to mean matching clothing, this is a great example of how adorable it can be when the little ones have matching dresses. Little sister did have an outfit change, which allowed for some of the photos to have some variety. The best of both worlds!
