Ideas for Themed Photos for Valentine’s Day :: Andover MA Photographer

Over the years I have had so much fun crafting sets and curating the studio for seasonal mini sessions for various seasons and holidays during the years. And a few years ago I added Valentine’s Day into the rotation. And let me tell ya…these sessions are so much fun! I try and switch up the sets every year for the clients who return for them. These photos are from last year’s sessions and I definitely had fun coming up with a few different ideas for themed photos for Valentine’s Day!

Typically for any of these more stylized sessions I have two different set designs. I have one darker and one lighter option for a good amount of variety. This also enables me to add on fun little touches. Last year my darker backdrop was the XOXO with hearts. It looks like it’s all lit up like a Broadway marquee and is super fun. This background is also where I put my beloved kissing booth that has made an appearance the last few years for these Valentine’s day themed photos.

For the lighter backdrop, last year I found a super adorable heart shaped hot air balloon backdrop. I love how whimsical and fun this background is. And it’s definitely not something that I think was super expected for Valentine’s Day photos. I love getting to be creative and mix things up! And of course the fun every year also comes from the outfits that parents choose for their kiddos. Whether it’s all white with a simple heart design, red clothing, or even the every stylish printed vest. Every year my clients rock the styling for these sessions.
