Child and Family Christmas Photographer :: North Reading MA
Tis the season for sharing Christmas photos! I love being a photographer for so many reasons, and one of them is getting to take sweet Christmas photos for families like this North Reading family. I’ve been sharing a lot of Christmas sessions on the blog over the past few days. But this blog post is a little different. While those have all been mini session posts, this one is a full session. Mini sessions are a great option for many families. But that doesn’t mean they’re the best (or only) choice when it comes to Christmas photos.
There are so many things to love about this Christmas portrait session. And the top of my list as got to be the matching Christmas pajamas! I absolutely love matching pajamas for holiday portraits. I’ve been a (seasonal) Christmas photographer for many years now, and every year I look forward to seeing all the fun pajama ideas. One of the great things about full sessions is it means plenty of time for an outfit change. I love little man’s plaid shirt you can see below, too. Mini Session vs Full Session
A mini session is 15 minutes long. Which can be very helpful for families with kiddos who don’t want to sit still for very long. They’re also a great option for families who are looking to get a few festive photos for the holidays but don’t need a whole gallery worth. This is where booking a full session comes into play. Not only do we get much more time to get comfortable (especially helpful if your little one has extreme stranger danger), but you also are able to get a much larger gallery.
If you’re looking to celebrate more than just the holidays, and also celebrate a milestone for example, a full session is definitely a better choice. We have much more time together. This means there are many more options when it comes to customizing your session as well. Since mini sessions are all during one day and one right after the other. I cannot always guarantee that I’ll be able to change things around very much. During a full session there is a lot more time to switch up the set designs.
