Pretty in Pink Newborn Photos for Miss K :: Sandown NH Photographer
I’ve said the words “pretty in pink” when it comes to baby milestone photos quite a few times, but I’m not sure I’ve ever meant it as much as I do for these newborn photos. Miss K seriously rocked her newborn photos. Starting off with the gorgeous family photos where she got snuggles and kisses from mom and dad. Then we were all about Miss K. She let me get some of my all time favorite newborn poses, including the beloved “froggy” pose where her chin is resting in her hands. Parents frequently ask for this pose during their session. Unfortunately it’s not always possible, since baby is truly boss during these photos. It’s super important that all poses, especially these ones, are done in a very safe way. Which means baby must be cooperating. Miss K definitely cooperated and I am obsessed.
Creating Variety in Newborn Portrait Sessions
This session is also a great example of how a simple headband, change of blanket, or a wrap can totally change a photo and add so much variety to a session. Below are a few different versions of Miss K laying on her belly, bum slightly in the air, head resting on her hand. It’s a very classic newborn pose and one that I do in just about every session. Adding a headband, placing a wrap over her, or changing up the color scheme changes the photo so much. This is a great way to have a ton of variety without having to add in too many props or accessories! You can have a newborn session with a pretty color palette like this pink and white one, and still have variety.
