Mr. T’s Newborn Photos with Older Siblings :: Boston MA Photographer
This family grew by two feet! I have photographed all three of these siblings for their newborn photos sessions, which is so wonderful for me. I love when I get to see families grow and change over the years. The first time I met this family is when I photographed biggest brother, Mr. B, back in 2017 when he was brand new. They were back in the studio summer of 2020 to welcome middle brother, Mr. H. And then finally, baby Mr. T just this past year. I will never stop being grateful when parents trust me enough to come back for second (or third!) babies.

Creating Cohesion in Newborn Portrait Sessions
One thing that I love about being the one to photograph each sibling for their newborn photos is how easily I am able to create a cohesive flow between each session. Of course each boy is their own person, so it’s important to remember that. But I love that between all three of these newborn sessions there are a few things that are very similar. The overall color scheme, using mostly neutral grays and browns with pops of blue or green is one similarity. I also used the same or similar props for each boy. Wooden crates and fluffy furs were used in all three sessions. Plus, all three boys have portraits of them cradling the small knit animals. For this session Mr. T also cuddled with an owl stuffed animal that is super sweet.
Even the family photos of the growing family have a nice cohesive vibe throughout the years with similar color schemes and the same dark wood backdrop. This is a great way to make sure that all of your family portraits will complement one another. When it comes to sibling newborn photos, this can be something to keep in mind.
