Mr. A’s Outer Space Cake Smash Photos :: Saugus MA Photographer
When Mr. A came into my studio from nearby Saugus to celebrate his first birthday, I knew we were going to have fun. I just didn’t know we were going to have THIS much fun! We started off the session with some family and solo portraits in some semi-formal attire. This whole family is gorgeous, and Mr. A is beyond adorable. He gave me such amazing facial expressions throughout the entire session. Once those portraits in front of the dark wooden backdrop were complete, it was time for the real fun to begin. Themes and Backdrops for Cake Smash Sessions
If you’re looking for ideas for an outer space themed cake smash, this session is a great one. The majority of the set design for Mr. A’s out of this world cake smash session was down to the galaxy and planets on the backdrop. Backdrops like this are such a great way to incorporate a theme. In the past I have used these stylized backgrounds for everything from Christmas to Easter. And they are always so great. In this case, having the background like this made the set up easy–plus it was gorgeous.
Typically for highly themed and stylized cake smash sessions, we can either go the backdrop route, or we can decorate it ourself. I’ve done both versions for cake smash (including with similar space themes. You can see one with a different backdrop here, and one without a backdrop here). If I have or am able to find a backdrop to work within your theme, I am happy to do so! But don’t worry, even if there isn’t a backdrop, I am still able to work with any theme for cake smash sessions.
