Miss K’s Beautiful Newborn Portraits :: Wilmington MA Photographer
This sweet family of four came to my studio from Wilmington MA to celebrate their newest arrival. It was my first time meeting Miss K. But I had previously photographed her big brother Mr. V for his super magical Harry Potter Cake Smash. That session was SO MUCH fun and I was so excited to see this family again. And let me tell you, Miss K absolutely rocked her newborn photos. She stayed sleeping the entire time (didn’t even need a snack break!) which was amazing. I was able to get every shot on mom’s list. These newborn portraits turned out so beautiful, and I know everyone was happy with them!

Poses and Props for Newborn Photos
When it comes to newborn photos, there are some poses and props that are my absolute go-to. Before any session I send out a questionnaire to make sure that I’m on the same page as parents when it comes to styling ideas, must have photos, etc. Of course not every family has an idea of what they want and that is absolutely okay with me! In this case, the number one thing mom mentioned for baby girl’s portraits was wanting some girly accessories for her beautiful newborn portraits. I pulled out some pinks, purples, and floral touches. The little lace basket and white bed are some of my favorite props. I also love how the heart shaped bowl with pink blanket over it turned out. I’m not sure this is one I’ve ever done before but I absolutely will again! Since big brother came along I knew sibling shots were a must. Step one for sibling photos with newborns is making sure that baby is safe and secure. Then we sneak big brother in behind her and get the photo as fast as we can–toddlers don’t stay still for very long!
I love that Miss K stayed asleep long enough to get so many different poses and shots for her mom and dad. Baby really is boss when it comes to newborn photos! And Miss K was a great boss for this photoshoot!
