Mr. N’s 5 Week Old Infant Photos :: Tewksbury MA Photographer
When it comes to newborn photos, the rule of thumb is to take them between 6-16 days. Of course this isn’t an absolute rule, there are absolutely exceptions. In this case Mr. N was just past this age at 5 weeks old. The biggest difference between that early newborn stage and starting around 5 weeks is the amount of time spent awake. At around five weeks is when babies start having longer periods of awake time. But have no fear, it is still absolutely possible to get your baby sweet and sleepy during their 5 week old infant photos. As you can see down below! Mr. N was an absolute dream of a baby. He let us get all of the shots we wanted and only popped his eyes open at the end. This definitely isn’t always the case, but as long as parents are flexible and open to last minute changes, 5 weeks is definitely still an option.
Fun fact about this session: Mr. N’s nursery is Winnie the Pooh themed. And his lovely grandmother made him a quilt which they brought along for these photos. I love getting to incorporate special mementos like this!
